1,2,3, Start.

For the past few weeks we have been discussing, what we call a healthy lifestyle! We have been through sleep routines, eating habits, when to take a dump and stuff.
Now say, you have decided to start a new fitness routine and become the person you always wanted to be. Instant questions that pop out are how to go about a fitness routine, when to work out and how many times a week. Last but not the least how rigorous exercise should be, duration and nutrition being primary concerns.
As I have always put forth the value of simplicity in previous articles, I will stick to the same. For a beginner half an hour to forty five minutes of exercise, five days a week would suffice. For seasoned people one hour of strenuous workout, three days a week would do. An average person should get at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity twice a week and strength training of same amount. Guide lines suggest you spread it over a week and take proper precautions like not over doing it, as exercise routines should be planned around recovery.
For body building buffs and athletes things vary a lot. People who are competing or have set higher goals and have time and resources in their hand can pursue advanced routines. Powerful routines have to be made which require deeper study of sports training and recovery techniques. The time duration of the work out will eventually depend on the designed routine which may exceed the normal workout sessions in the gym.
Same could be said about training the special population, with body malfunctions or disabilities. Different factors have to be kept in mind while training them and time duration may vary.
Nutrition plays a vital role and should be taken into primary consideration. A seasoned athlete will off course require special dietary programme. One can’t run a marathon on masala Dosa. And if you wish to shed a few kilos stop patronizing yourself by eating everything your tongue craves. Get yourself in shape…then you can put that tongue to better use and burn a few calories while doing it.
Fitness laws are simple, you eat shit! You feel shit! You look like shit!  All being said. Aim small in the beginning and try to achieve it. Be regular and stay healthy.
