Hello Fitness

While schooling oneself towards ultimate fitness a person should keep in mind that discipline and consistent effort is all he needs. Your body is smart, its highly adaptive in nature, treat it smartly and you can reap lifelong benefits from it. Show a little dedication and you will definitely see some amazing transformations. The fact is old school principals like you need to push and pull yourself at least a couple of hundred times makes sense. Anybody who can’t do a basic fifty push up set and couldn’t pull himself four times above the ground level, shouldn’t enrol himself in a gym. That’s the basic fitness level required to start pumping iron.
Getting some funky gym wear and a smart phone won’t be enough. And then, the false pride and unrealistic goal setting.
Most of them have goals like, “I want to get slim for my sister’s wedding, the dead line is three months …and I won’t be that regular as well, I have the Sangeet and Mehndi coming up. And mind you we need to focus on the lower body area... I don’t want to build muscles lean would be just fine.”
You know, what I say to these people, grow up! Any experienced and honest trainer, who gives a damn about his students will guide them properly and try to change the above mentioned mind set of our respected ladies who show up just a month before Garbha and expect miracles.
Speaking about the Male weekend warriors who show up once in a while and instantly want to become shredded MMA fighters. And don’t even wish to break a sweat while doing it. The new found words like BCAA, Nitro boosters, creatin are the very first words these puny lads utter while talking to their trainers. Trust me they are the hardest ones to deal with. The pathetic sight of a twenty year old struggling to do a decent ten push up set gives me the creeps.
Follow old school and what the new sports college has to say and choose best of both the worlds. Start by having a decent routine, sleep and rise at reasonable hours, have healthy three square meals. Start basic exercises. Don’t start running instantly. Walk at least ten kms, before you think of a jog. Start doing basic push-ups and when you think you have built some decent strength and have got at least an hour to spare. Then go to a gym and give your 100%.
